Little Show Off

Zack and I went to Babies R Us over the weekend to get a baby gift and, of course, a few things for Caroline. She was in the best mood while we were there, smiling and happy. While I was browsing, Caroline and Zack walked around a bit and Caroline had a lot of fun sitting in a child sized chair that was in the middle of the store. Zack took the picture above on his blackberry. I caught up with them and saw that Caroline was attracting a lot of attention from passersby. She was adorable; smiling, clapping her hands (her new favorite trick), and babbling. We were admiring her when a lady who had stopped to speak to her said "bye bye" and waved to Caroline. Zack and I looked at each other in amazement when Caroline lifted her hand and waved back! That's the first time she has waved "bye bye" appropriately. We have been practicing with her but had never seen her do it in the correct context. Of course, we were so proud. I mean, the kid's a genius! And I'm not at all biased.
